9 times of out 10 I’m wearing neutral eyeshadow. I look to straight up sparkly neutrals before I look to bright colors. So it’s safe to say that I have a lot of neutral eyeshadow. Among my sparkling neutral eyeshadows, Himalia stands out. It’s just SO PRETTY. You’ll understand why I couldn’t leave the store without it when you see these pictures.
Do some of your best friends live rather far from you? Several of mine do! And since they’re away at boarding school, I try to send them some baked goods every once in a while. Recently, one of my best friends texted me the link to Kevin & Amanda’s brown butter snickerdoodle donut muffins with brown butter buttercream frosting (phew, that’s a mouthful!). I immediately knew I had to make them for her and others! And so I did. But I did a wee bit of tweaking.
Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a great start to the school year (Or, if you’re not in school, a great start to september)! I’ll be posting around once a week now because of schoolwork but please continue to check back. Today I have an EOTD for you with Urban Decay’s Naked 3, a beautiful rose toned palette. Click below to see more pictures and how I created this look!
When these eyeshadows first appeared in NARS’ promo pics, I was not that interested. I don’t know what it was about them, but they didn’t draw me in. But I ended up buying more than one of them (a rarity for me with new products), so something happened. That something was Sephora (isn’t it always? Beauty bloggers back me up here!). I was meandering Sephora, like I tend to do, and randomly swiped my finger across a pan of Cassiopeia. And that was that!
All That Glitters is without a doubt one of MAC’s most famous and popular eyeshadows. And for good reason! It’s gorgeous and easy to wear. As you can tell by the pan showing, this is a well-loved eyeshadow that I reach for on a very regular basis.
Price & Amount: $16 for .05 oz. in the pot, or $10 for the same amount in a pro palette refill pan.
Hello everyone! I just got back from a two week trip with my family and packed plenty of makeup to wear during it. Today I’m going to show you all the products I brought and why I brought them. This makeup bag is by Sonia Kashuk – I love how roomy it is and that it has a side pocket for brushes so you don’t have to bring a separate brush roll. You can probably find a similar style at Target though this one is several years old.
As I mentioned in my NARS Barrow Street review, bright eyeliners are a summer (and all-around) staple. This beautiful teal is one of my favorites! I knew I had to buy it when Christine (Temptalia) gave it such a glowing review and it has been well loved since then. Tarina Tarantino’s Hyperliners are $15 for .04 oz.
Do you own a good nude or white eye liner to brighten your eyes? I didn’t, but I really wanted one. As a student, I sleep way too little and could always use some good under eye brightening. This kind of eyeliner is a great solution to tired looking eyes. So I put this one on my ever-full Sephora wishlist and a great friend of mine decided to get it for me for my birthday. Tarte’s Inner Rim Brightener/Liner retails for $19 for .009 oz.
Is there anything better than a melt in your mouth marshmallow and gooey chocolate sandwiched with cinnamon graham cracker goodness? I don’t think so, except maybe a dressed up version of it.
Happy almost National S’mores Day! Tomorrow, August 10th, is a very important holiday. I hope you all get to enjoy a classic s’more or s’more themed dessert on the happy day! Unfortunately I couldn’t bake one for you because I’m away on vacation. So instead I’m rounding up some scrumptious looking s’mores recipes for you to make!
